President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s photograph with the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, has triggered speculations and mixed interpretations ahead of 2027 general elections.
The photograph was taken on Tuesday at the Ramadan dinner with members of the Federal judiciary led by the CJN.
However, after the event, some Nigerians reacted to CJN Ariwoola’s gesture towards the president, alleging that his decision to bow while greeting Tinubu is a show of allegiance to the latter’s administration, now and beyond 2027.
Some re-echoed the allegation by members of the opposition that the CJN and Tinubu worked together to give victory to the APC in the last presidential elections.
Although the allegations were debunked, there is a heated discussion triggered by the photograph of the CJN and the President yesterday.
Meanwhile, at the dinner, President Tinubu said individuals involved in despicable crimes such as kidnapping must be treated as terrorists.
The President said those who resort to kidnapping children are cowards, incapable of confronting the might of the Nigerian Armed Forces. CONTINUE READING
