You And Obasanjo Invested 16bn To Bring DARKNESS Sowore Slams Atiku Following Collapse Of National Grid

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has slammed his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, for reacting to Wednesday’s collapse of the National Grid.

The National Grid collapsed for the 6th time on Wednesday, causing Atiku’s reaction via Twitter.

The PDP’s presidential candidate, who frowned at the collapse wrote: “I am reliably informed that there was a total National Grid Collapse at precisely 12:23pm today. This is one collapse too many. It is the 6th time this is happening this year alone.”

Reacting, Sowore accused Atiku of causing the country’s power problems, noting that he and his former boss, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo invested the country’s $16 billion to bring darkness to Nigerians instead of light.

In his words: “The National Electrical grid collapse started when you and Obasanjo invested $16 billion to procure darkness for Nigeria, the @MBuhari regime came to gazette grid collapse as a law. Alhaji @atiku, don’t pretend that you care about the National Grid! #WeCantContinueLikeThis.”

Mixed reactions, however, have trailed the Twitter conversation.

@Scoles wrote: “Alhaji Atiku is talking on his own as a presidential candidate. Yele can you come up with your own solution to the problem, instead of criticising him. Afterall, you are also a candidate or you don’t have any agenda or solution to our problems?”

@Nades: “Whilst in the same year, UAE invested $18b to build a mega city. Difference of $2b seemed like $2t given the darkness with still combat in Nigeria today. What is the offense of the citizens?”

@Archives wrote: “Always unapologetic in saying the truth because he is not one of them and he is not afraid to face them at any point. Sowore thank you for all you do, Nigerians appreciate you so much”
