Others believe that the meeting poses a huge concern for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, who is reportedly falling out with Wike.

According to Channels TV, the meeting was held on Monday night at Wike’s private residence in Port Harcourt, with the former governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko in attendance.

It was gathered that the Rivers State governor also met with ex- Cross River Governor, Donald Duke; Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom; Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, and Gombe State ex-governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo among others.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Mimiko shared a photo with the politicians, saying: “Nice to share some time last night with @GovWike @Donald_Duke @PeterObi @HEDankwambo @GovSamuelOrtom, @GovernorIkpeazu, Mohammed Adoke SAN and many other friends.”Screenshot 20220816 1129312 compress68

The meeting comes after Wike met with the LP presidential candidate. Just like the previous meeting, the motive for the latest meeting was not made public by either of the politicians.

Reacting, @Utibe Udoh on Facebook wrote: “Sincerely in support of this instead of working for a man who once said that he would make the “country ungovernable”. We have not forgotten. Peter Obi, the man for the job.”

@Fimber: “Southern Nigeria politicians must unite this time to fight this battle, power much return to the south most especially southeast.
Peter Obi is the next president of Nigeria.”

@Mbah: “We’re Obidiently waiting for the outcome….yes the tsunami is on the way coming…. the tide will SURELY turn for GOOD …GOD is manifesting HIMSELF….. let them yield to HIS Vioce.”
