Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Reno Omokri, has taken a jab at his partyman, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, following the latter’s decision against supporting their party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming presidential election.
Reno said Wike would have caused more crisis in the PDP of he was elected as the party’s flagbear because the Rivers State governor drinks alcohol even when receiving VIP visitors.
Noting that sometimes guests complain that they don’t know if they are talking to Wike or the alcohol in his system, Reno wrote in a tweet on Tuesday saying: “Wike drinks even when receiving VIP visitors. Sometimes guests complain that they don’t know if they are talking to Wike or the alcohol in his system.
“The man could have sparked a Bianca versus Mrs. Obiano incident at Aso Rock if PDP was foolish enough to elect him!”
His tweet came shortly after Wike had said that the endorsement of Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, for the 2023 presidential election by former President Olusegun Obasanjo calls for worry over the fate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Wike, at the flag-off of construction of Mgbuodohia Road in Rumuolumene, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area on Tuesday, noted that for Obasanjo to pick Obi above the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who served him for eight years as Vice President, every lover of PDP should be worried.
