A video showing the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, outrightly kicking against the election of President Bola Tinubu has resurfaced, and has triggered the speculations that the embattled former governor is being witch hunted.
In the video dated back to the 2023 presidential election period, Yahaya made himself the only northern APC governor who disagreed that it was the turn of the South to produce the next president.
A part of the video shows the moment he mocked Tinubu, imitated how the latter struggles to carry is ‘agbada’ while also declaring that he is too weak and old to become President.

Meanwhile, a few hours after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declared Bello wanted in connection to an alleged case of money laundering to the tune of N80. 2bn, the Nigerian Immigration Service on Thursday put the embattled ex- governor on its watchlist.
A circular dated April 18, 2024, signed by the Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, DS Umar, for the Comptroller- General, Kemi Nandap, detailed the name, nationality, and passport number of Yahaya Bello (B50083321) saying, “I am directed to inform you that the above- named person has been placed on the watch list.
