Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra and presidential hopeful, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He disclosed his intention to resign in a letter addressed to the party.
The former governor’s decision to leave the PDP comes days before the presidential primary is scheduled to hold.
A Facebook user who reacted to the development wrote: “Smart move.
PDP should be begging him and grant him their consensus candidate if they are serious. Peter Obi knows his worth, we have evolved from Party politics to Personality Politics. #PO2023.”
