Some armed bandits in the Northern part of the country have vowed to intensify their attacks on innocent Nigerians if President Bola Tinubu-led federal government fails to immediately invite them for a dialogue.

Mallam Jabir, a human rights’ activist and socio-political commentator, shared the video showing the bandits passing their message to the government.

In the video, first posted on Tiktok, the bandits who appeared fearless could be seen fully armed and unperturbed.

Meanwhile, a day after 137 abducted students of Lea Primary School and Government Secondary School Kuriga in the Chikun LGA of Kaduna State regained their freedom, some bandits on Tiktok took to their respective handles to flaunt the ransom money they collected from their victims.

Although it couldn’t be asserted if the bandits on Tiktok were connected with the abduction of the Kuriga schoolchildren, the audacity in which they have to publicize their deeds shocked many.

Recall that the schoolchildren were kidnapped in an incident that sparked outrage and condemnation from several quarters including the UN children’s welfare agency UNICEF.

In a statement issued by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, a total of 137 students were rescued on Sunday.

According to the statement, the children were rescued in Zamfara State in the early hours of Sunday, through the joint efforts of the military and local authorities.

However, barely a day after the good news, the video showing the bandits flaunting their ransom money surfaced.

According to Zagazola, the Tiktok account of the bandits has 3000 followers.

The publication noted that the bandits openly show off their riffle as they clad themselves in military or police uniforms. CONTINUE READING
