The Nigerian Nollywood industry has been greeted with terror in the past few weeks, recording several deaths of actors and actresses.
On April 10th, Junior Pope became the latest victim of the terror, having lost his life in a boat accident on the River Niger.
Prior to his death, Nigerian politicians raised serious concerns regarding the increasing deaths in the movie industry.
According to Pastor Robert Jr, the senior prophet of Grace Confirmation Church Worldwide, Enugu, some Nigerian politicians wept after contacting him concerning his prophecy about the deaths of Nollywood legends: Mr Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor and one other actor he mentioned in the video below.
Recall that the popular cleric had shared a video where he prophesied about the deaths of three Nollywood legends in 2024.
A day after Muonagor’s death was announced, the cleric revealed via his official Facebook page that he has been contacted by three Nigerian politicians regarding his prophecy.
Meanwhile, in the video of the prophecy he released on December 31, 2023, the cleric called for prayers for three Nollywood legends whom he foresaw dying in 2024.
Although he didn’t mention Junior Pope, the cleric mentioned the name of another Nollywood legend in his prophecy.
He said in the video: “Nollywood legends are gone. Zack Orji gone. Amaechi Muonagor gone. Mr Ibu gone… We need to pray for these people. What I saw in that vision, look at how they would go…”

The prophecy is apparently a bad news for the Nigerian movie industry, having lost legends to the cold hands of death in a space of few weeks.
On Thursday, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed to Channels Television that the remains of actor Junior Pope have been deposited at the morgue.
He also confirmed that the remains of a crew member were recovered from the River Niger while the bodies of three other crew members were yet to be recovered as they were five in the boat which capsized after colliding with another boat. CONTINUE READING
