CollageMaker 20220622 122557630 compress42 The presidential ambition of Labour party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has continued on the discussion, with Deji Adeyanju, a Nigerian human rights’ activist, giving unfavourable predictions ahead of the much anticipated polls in 2023.

According to Deji, Peter Obi won’t score up to 3% of total votes cast in Nigerian northern states.

He also posited that the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, who is expected to merge with Peter Obi, won’t also get up to 3% of votes in Nigerian southern states.

Deji Adeyanju’s prediction reads: “Peter Obi won’t score up to 3% of total votes cast in northern states in Nigeria. Kwankwaso won’t also get 3% votes in any Southern state. The challenges of 2023 are beyond visible to the blind. This is why opposition parties should unite except they are working for Tinubu.”Screenshot 20220622 1222052 compress64

Nigerian youths, who are pioneering the movement towards making Obi Nigeria’s next president understood Deji’s prediction to mean that their favourite candidate will not win the forthcoming presidential elections, thus their angry reactions.

On Facebook, @Chisom Emmanuel wrote: “Deji where exactly do you call northern Nigeria? Is Niger, Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Nasarawa , Kaduna, not part of northern Nigeria? I seriously believe you’ve lost touch with the ordinary people, because those of us who relate with them daily understand better. Trust me this view is lame..”

@Igara Samuel: “Deji, you were one of the activists that shouted that you stand for Igbo Presidency. You even went ahead to ask Peter Obi to leave PDP. Sir, why are you so unstable? Use the energy you use in giving your predictions to concentrate on the South East Presidency you campaigned for. If not please leave your needless predictions and stay one place so thunder will know the exact place to deliver our message to you.”

@Ivan Richard: “Peter Obi will get more than 25% votes in the North. The number of people who are suffering hunger and insecurities in the northern Nigeria is much more than 86% and the educated amongst them are up to 35%, these including those that have suffered bandits and bokoharam attack in their farms, towns and villages.”
