A popular comedian and activist, Debo Adedayo, aka Mr Macaroni, has said he would vote for the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.
Mr Macaroni made this known in a tweet on Saturday.
The activist, who slammed the ruling All Progressives Congress, for tyranny, maintained his stance that he would not campaign for any politician ahead of the elections.
He wrote, “The effrontery the APC Youth Leader has to come and tell Nigerians that they do not have a choice in Elections? What sort of arrogant stupidity is that? Is this the plan of APC?? To force themselves on the People??? You can’t kill all of us!! The people will reject tyranny!!!
“I do not and will not campaign for politicians. I cannot force or beg any Nigerian to vote for a particular candidate but come 2023, the person that I will cast my vote for is Peter Obi!! And that is final on this matter!! Enough is Enough!!!”
Mr Macaroni’s stance comes after Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the acting leader of South-West group, Afenifere, continued to drum his support for Mr Obi with a warning to Nigerians who endorsed the latter’s counterpart, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 election.
Speaking in an interview on Arise TV, Adebanjo submitted that at 94, he may not be alive but Nigerians will live to suffer if they vote for any presidential candidate other than Mr Obi.
